And Then There Were Two...

Two months to go, that is! I seriously cannot believe we're at the two month mark. I don't know where the time has gone! I looked over my list yesterday of the projects I still need to finish (ahem, start in some cases) and it was a bit overwhelming. I've officially decided that I'm not adding anything else to the list, though, and I plan to get at least one thing done each day - even if it's small. Hopefully this means I'll have lots of project posts coming up and several posts showing how my original inspiration/idea post turned out! My shower is on Saturday, so I'll be posting about my hostess gifts at some point as well! I think I'll feel a lot better about everything I have to do once I'm able to start crossing some things off the list, especially the invitations. I'm going to be working my *not so* little butt off on those this week. And because I haven't shown you anything yet, here's a sneak peek to hold you over until we finally get them sent out:

I can't wait to show you guys the whole thing! And since they're supposed to be going out, oh, any day now, hopefully it won't be too long until I'm able to!

And one more thing I just have to share - The first of the new babies in the family was born and I was able to meet him this weekend! I just love being an aunt. Meet my newest nephew and our honorary ring bearer:

(All of the photos from the birth were incredible - Birth photography is so beautiful!)

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend!

100 Days

Today marks 100 days until our wedding! Ahhh - I can hardly believe it!! I have such a mix of emotions.

I'm definitely excited to marry my better half and the person who makes me feel complete.

I'm stressed about getting all of my projects done and figuring out our house situation so that everything's taken care of before the big day.

I'm thrilled that David and I will finally be living in the same city again AND in the same house!

I'm sad that I'll no longer be living with my wonderful roomie/BM S and I'll be leaving the university that I absolutely love. (Last night was KU's last home basketball game, meaning it was my last game in Allen Fieldhouse as a student - I teared up singing our alma mater. It really is the beginning of the end.)

Our gorgeous campus - The bell tower in the middle is where David proposed!

I'm both relieved and nervous that I'll soon be a college graduate and there will be no more all nighters filled with studying, but I'll instead be working full time.

My high school graduation - I can't believe how fast the time has flown by!

I think I could probably come up with even more emotions I'm feeling right now. These next 100 days will definitely be some of the most memorable and best days of my life, but they'll also be some of the most stressful and emotionally draining. And unfortunately (I think) they'll be gone before I know it. Here's to making the most of them!

What were you feeling at the 100 day mark?

The Countdown

Today marks 6 months until our wedding day! (Wait, wasn't it just yesterday that we were at 8 months?!) Up until this point I don't know how many times I've said, "It will get done, we have plenty of time!" or "We still have _______ months!" For some reason, now that we've hit the 6 month mark, it doesn't seem like we've got all the time in the world anymore.

I can't believe we've been engaged for 9 months already. That time flew by, which makes me even more nervous that the next 6 months will, too! I am SO excited for the day to finally be here, but it makes me a little worried that my planning seems a little like a jumbled mess of ideas right now rather than plans that have come together.  Hopefully this next month, though, will be full of planning - and finalizing plans - since I'll be in our hometown for the entire month (where the wedding will take place) and I'll be around to make David get his to-do list (of approximately 5 things) done too.

BM S said last night, "The next time I see you after break, the wedding will be less than 5 months away!" I hadn't even thought about that! Here's to the next month being incredibly productive (after my finals are finally over)! And here's to being this blissful 6 months from today:

Was there a certain point in your planning when it didn't seem like you had all the time in the world anymore? When did that feeling hit?

It's Getting Closer!

242 days. That's only 8 months!! I almost can't believe it. When David proposed on March 7th, the 15 months and 5 days until our wedding felt like an eternity. The last 7 months have flown by. I feel like I've gotten a lot accomplished, but we've got lots to do still! And time definitely isn't slowing down!
