Weekend Recap

This weekend was exactly what I needed. I've been having a rough time lately - I just want to be back home. I've just been incredibly stressed, and being here hasn't helped. It's been hard to stay focused on school when we're attempting to buy a house in my hometown and I'm not there to be involved with the process. It seems like there's been something new every day after having the inspection done, and I don't feel like I ever really know what's going on so I can't help ease David's stress. School has been awful - I've got 2 and a half months until graduation and I am seriously lacking motivation. And my list of wedding projects seems to keep getting longer instead of shorter. Anyway, all that to say - A nice weekend with my fiance was very much needed. I originally planned to spend the weekend at home, but I really needed to work yesterday, so David came up here. We really didn't have any plans and it was wonderful just being with him.

Friday evening we went out to dinner with my roommate/BM S - We laughed and talked for over an hour and then came home and watched Law Abiding Citizen *I'd recommend it if you haven't seen it!* and finally ended up going to bed around 2:30.

Saturday I was able to go tanning in the morning and then David and I went to apply for our passports. We got to the post office, realized we didn't have photo copies of our IDs (and they will no longer make them for you) so we ran across the street to the library, made copies, and ran back. After waiting in line they told us they don't do passport applications on weekends - Uh, what? Wouldn't that be the most common day to do them? Whatever. I'm going to try again tomorrow and David's going to go sometime this week and then hopefully we'll finally be able to check this off the list! Saturday evening we went on a double date with some of our good friends. J refs with David and is one of our ushers, and his wife, K is now one of my good friends. I've done a horrible job of taking pictures recently, but at least K and I got a couple good ones!

Yesterday after I got off work David and I had lunch and ran some errands before he had to leave. It was hard saying goodbye, but easier knowing that I'll see him again in 5 days! He'll be reffing at a tournament about half an hour away from here next weekend, so I'll get to see him some this weekend. Hopefully this week goes by fast! :) I just have this week and next week before my 21st birthday, spring break, and seeing my best friend/MOH A! I have lots to look forward to!

Unfortunately I didn't get anything wedding related done, but I don't have much to do for school this week (aside from my test I had today) so I should be able to make some progress!

How did you spend your weekend?

PS - Can you believe it's March already?! I knew February was going to fly by, but wow!

  5. March is freaking me out!!! I can't believe it's here already. I am supposed to have everything wedding related and all of my moving from my place to my fiance's done by March 31st! Our wedding is just 46 days away now and March is stressing me out. We got a lot done this weekend...Mr Fix It worked on grouting the shower and floors in our new master bathroom and I cleaned out and painted all the kitchen cabinets in his place...Lord knows they needed it big time! :)

Bummer about the passports...it's always such a hassle to get things like that handled.

  7. Oh my gosh, I totally agree. I just want school to be done... at least the homework part. Oh man, don't even get me started on house buying, it's been a nightmare. (I'm definitely exaggerating that but it feels like it!)
